In this video, you will watch a mysterious Muslim girl performing (Namaz) or the prayer on a thin branch
of a Neem tree in Jaunpur, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It was said that she has just disappeared after performing her prayer. However, the video does not show any such incident. Almost each and every villager including; men, women, young and old became eyewitness of this incident as you can see in the video clearly. Many people gathered around the tree when the strange Muslim girl performed prayer on the tree’s thin and high branch.
Some of the people who gathered around the tree were seen saying: “She is performing prayer.”
Miracle by a True Friend of Allah
It is noteworthy that there are many stories in the biographies of the friends of Allah the Almighty or the pious and sincere Muslim mystics that they spread their prayer mat on the surface of water and performed the prayer.
Miraculous incidents are possible in terms of logic and the Shari`ah and many miracles have been mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an and Sunnah, such as the story of A’sif ibn Barkhiya’ who brought the Queen of Seba’s throne to the King and Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) in less than the twinkling of an eye as was mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an:
Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, “I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you.” And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, “This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful – his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful – then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous.” (An-Naml 27:40)
Additionally, any miracle that happens it happens only by the power of Allah the Almighty and His permission. Nothing can happen without the command of the Creator. If a miracle appears at the hand of a Prophet or Messenger, it is called “Mu`ajizah” in Islamic theology. But if a miracle appears at the hand of a true friend of Allah who is neither Prophet nor Messenger, it is called “Karamah” (honor).
Is walking on the Rope a Miracle?
However, we do not see any miracle in this video because there are many people on this globe who walk on the rope and ride cycle on a thin rod, although such incidents are rare and abnormal.
According to the Islamic jurisprudence, performing prayer on dangerous places that may harm a person is prohibited and not permissible. Muslims are advised to stay away from blind following and from believing in myths and fantasies, rather they should follow the correct teachings of Islam.
Ruling on Performing Prayer in a Dangerous place in Islam
It is better and more meritorious for a woman to perform the prayer in her inner side of her house and it is recommended for her to avoid performing prayer in public place in normal situation.
A Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (May peace of Allah and His blessings be upon him) says:
“A woman’s prayer in her inner room is better than her prayer in the outside room, and her prayer in the outside room is better than her prayer in the courtyard, and her prayer in the courtyard is better than her prayer in the Mosque.” (Mu`ajam of Imam At-Tabrani)
Therefore performing prayer on the branch of a tree is not recommended in Islam as well as it is dangerous for person to perform prayer in a unsafe place.
